Memoirs of Asylum is a series of Gothic Horror short stories told in the first person perspective by those who have experienced the terrible realities of the mountainous region and lived to tell the tale.

Memoirs is an intimate look into how the community of Asylum has impacted those brave or foolish enough to venture or live there.

The first book in the series, Janet Blair, details the experiences of a freelance journalist who was given the assignment of documenting Asylum and those who call it home. She discovers that the legends surrounding the community are not only true, they are profoundly disturbing and profoundly dangerous!

Having barely escaped with her sanity in tact, Janet details her harrowing experiences and how they changed her life forever.

At that moment, the horror on the other side of the door seemed to leave us alone. We sat there for a long time, listening. My body grew weak with fear and I shook uncontrollably. Mrs. Weatherstone called me to her side and I crawled back to her, laying my head on her lap. Everything in me wanted to believe that this wasn’t actually happening; that I was having some sort of vivid nightmare or something. But, no amount of self-assurance could strike the terror from my system at what had just occurred.

“Give it what it wants,” I whispered with a quivering voice. “Give it what it wants so we can go home.”
